Leadtek Configuration Wizard

This FREE service allows you to easily configure a Leadtek BVA805x series adaptor for a number of different services with known good configurations. It will work under the following circumstances:

  • You have a Leadtek 805x device with updated firmware, which can be obtained from Leadtek;
  • You must have access to the web interface of the Leadtek device from your current location;
  • The port you wish to configure is unlocked, i.e. not tied to a service provider (if you are asked for a password to configure a port, and your provider has not furnished you with the password, the port will be "locked" and you will be unable to configure it with this wizard);
  • Your browser supports HTTPS;
  • Your browser allows requested pop-up windows from Voxilla (temporarily disable your pop-up blocker);
  • You will need an account with SIP userid and password on one of the providers listed in Step 2.

This form will:

  • Collect some basic information to generate your configuration;
  • Open a pop-up window containing a button that will push the requested configuration directly to your device.

  Step 1 - Enter the IP address of your adaptor

We need to know the IP address of your Leadtek adaptor, which you will enter below. AR17 and above firmware on the BVA805x units (except for the BVA8053) have an IVR which can be activated by picking up the handset and briefly pressing the reset button on the back of the device. For the BVA8053, you will have to use alternate means (e.g. check your router log, plug a PC into the LAN port).

  Step 2 - Select your Service Provider

We need to know which service provider you would like to configure your Sipura adaptor to work with. Select from one of the following below:

If you are a service provider, support open device configurations, and would like to be included in this configuration wizard, or we are providing incorrect service configuration information, please contact us and we will do our best to correct the situation.

  Step 3 - Enter your caller ID display name

In the box below, enter the name you would like the recipients of your call to see if they have Caller ID. Note: Even though you may enter a Caller ID display name on this form, not all service providers support the feature.

  Step 4 - Enter your user ID

You'll need to enter the User ID, as given to you by your service provider, in the box below:

  Step 5 - Enter your Auth ID (not usually required)

This will be blank unless you use the Auth ID for something other than the SIP username. In that case, enter the SIP username in the box below:.

  Step 6 - Enter your password

You'll need to enter your password, exactly as given to you by your service provider, in the box below:

  Step 7 - Enter your Dial Plan

The Dial Plan tells your Leadtek what numbers are allowed to be dialed. It also allows you to do things like 7-digit dialing. In the Dial Plan field below, we've entered a generic Dial Plan that will work with the majority of providers. It allows you to dial an arbitrary number of digits, dial * then any number of digits, dial ** then any number of digits, and # then any number of digits). If you want a North American-style dialplan that offers 7-digit dialing, 11-digit dialing for North America calls, and standard PSTN-style international dialing (dial 011, country code, area code and number), cut and paste the following dialing plan into the Dial Plan field. You will need to then adjust the plan as follows:
  • Replace 1415 with your Country Code (US = 1) and Area Code (415). For example, to use US area code 360, replace 1415 to 1360.
  • Replace 011 with your international access code.

    <:1415>[2-9]xxxxxx|011xx.T|1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx

If you are in the US and want 10-digit dialing instead of 7-digit dialing:

    <:1>[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx|011xx.T|1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx

The BroadVoice sanctioned dial plan is:

    *xx|#xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxxxx.T

The iConnectHere sanctioned dial plan is:

    *xx*xxxxxxxxxxx.T|*x*xxxxxxxxxxx.T|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxxxx.T

A suggested dial plan for Musimi is:

    112|00[0-9].T|*xx|*31*00x.T|*31*xxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxx

A suggested dial plan for Annatel is:

    0[1-9]xxxxxxxx|00[1-9]x.T|26[1-9]x.T|*xx.T|x|*xx*x.T|*xxx*x.T

A suggested dial plan for Broadeon is:

    **x|*xx|[3469]11|0T|00T|[2-9]xxxxxxT|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxxxx.

A suggested dial plan for swippipcom is:

    0[1-9]xxxxxxxx|00xxxxxxxxxxx.T|[2-9]

  Step 8 - Select a phone line

The Leadtek BVA8052 includes ports for two separate telephones, each of which can be configured independently with separate services. If you have a BVA8052, choose which of the phone lines on the unit you wish to configure. If you're using a single-port BVA805x, choose Line 1.

This feature is not available at the moment. Only line 1 of a BVA8052 can be configured using this wizard at this time.

  Step 9 - Set Your Timezone

Select the timezone you wish your device to display the time for Caller ID in terms of. You can only set this on completely unlocked devices, so for a partially locked device, make sure you select "No Time Zone". Note that these timezones do not take into account Daylight Savings Time.

  Step 10 - Configure your adaptor

Once you've entered the information above and checked to see if it is correct, click on the "Configure My Leadtek" button below. A new window will open allowing you to upload the configuration options directly to your adaptor. If you would like to re-enter the settings information, you may clear this form by clicking on the "Reset Form" button.

Note: Voxilla does not store any information that you enter on this form. Furthermore, we encrypt all submissions/responses to this form via SSL.
