Voxilla Opinion
Ooma best suits people interested in keeping their home phone but at the same time saving money. Its service and features are beneficial to anyone that needs a residential phone line at a reduced cost. Ooma has lowered the price on their system drastically and the flat rate gets rid of your monthly phone bill. However, performance is comparatively not as good with a wireless internet connection and the fee to transfer your existing number is more expensive than most other services.
Because customers must buy the Ooma Hub, many people worry about its future. However in 2009 they are on track to have $15 to $20 million in revenue and are expected to end the year in profit. Overall Ooma seems like a good option for your home phone service, but you should take the high up-front costs into consideration.
