Businesses and ITSPs have long-needed an inexpensive way to connect legacy analog devices to a VoIP network, and Linksys announcement of the SPA8000 — an eight-port FXS Analog Terminal Adaptor device — early this year had many eagerly anticipating its release.
Finally, that time is here. The Linksys SPA8000 is now available in the United States.

Linksys announced the end of the SPA941/SPA942 four line upgrade license.
Starting with firmware version 5.1.10 for the SPA942 and firmware version 5.1.8 for the SPA941, the SPA94X series phones will automatically enable the ability to configure up to four unique extensions per phone.

The Linksys SPA962 Configuration Wizard is the latest addition to the Voxilla VoIP Device Configuraiton Wizard family.
This new configuration wizard has expanded service provider support and allows configuration of all six extensions.

ViaTalk Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) customers can now use the Voxilla Device Configuration Wizard.
Just start the Wizard for your device and select the closest SIP proxy.

The Linksys SPA9000 5.1.5a firmware may cause phone reboots during calls.
Linksys has replaced the 5.1.5a firmware on their website with a previous firmware release (5.1.1).
Customers who are experiencing phone reboot problems with the 5.1.5a firmware are advised to rollback to the 5.1.1 release.
Linksys released the SPA9000 5.1.5a firmware on December 7th. By December 10th, the Linksys (Sipura) SPA Users Group was receiving reports of SPA941/SPA942 reboots during calls. Linksys responded on December 11th, by rolling back the firmware available on the Linksys website.
We will advise customes when a new SPA9000 firmware release is available.
