Default Sipura 3000 System Tray Utility

All

This thread contains information about a SPA3000 System tray utility I have written which was first posted in the VoIP forum on whirlpool.net.au
It was originally designed as a monitor for the SPA3000 to give a visual indicator in the system tray of the Line1 and PSTN registration status. It has options to

Log Registration changes (so you can keep a history of failed registrations and when they occurred)

Log Calls (inbound and outbound) with call quality details. It does this by capturing the Basic Web page during a call and tracking the maximum jitter and decode values seen.

Give a visual indicator to being off-hook, incoming call, and calls made over fallback to PSTN. (a big ugly ‘T’ to indicate money is being given to Telstra…)

A Caller ID lookup to assign names to numbers.

A configuration capture and compare utility so you can save various configs and compare them (useful if you fiddle with settings for quality)

The tool is at www.users.on.net/mclacy (zip file with the executable and a readme.rtf file for setup and configuration)

Thanks for looking and any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

For me the program is a significant monitoring tool. Thanks for posting your work.

Thanks! Looks great. BTW, I'm trying to run 2 instances to monitor 2 devices. I can start one after another, and keep the logs in different folders, but i need to reset the second instance everytime, because it remembers the last configuration (registry vs INI?) Any way of setting it up to remember 2 configurations?

Many thanks for the feedback
Your right, as its using the registry not an ini file to store configs so each instance is reading the same value. A few people have asked about multiple spa3000 support and I have backed away as I only have one sipura (so dev and test is difficult!) but I'll have a think and see what I can do.

Cheers

I have added the option to pass a command line parameter so you can start different instances.

spa3000_monitor.exe /instance=sid
spa3000_monitor.exe /instance=john

this will start 2 instances you can setup differently. The registry key are held in subkey with that instance name.

v2.02a at www.users.on.net/mclacy

Cheers

Thanks! I'll provide feedback! Have you see the GetSipura utility http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13371620 ? Its running using Samurize. It contains a few more of the Info Page parameters than your utility does (including line voltage, firmware and uptime - time since reboot (Elapsed Time)), but currently does not support the call logging...

Its working and the config compare just found a problem I was having with gw0 calling issues!

Question, for Inbound calls, the Recent call log does not display the "Caller" and "Number", yet when I look at the details of the call, I have information for the "Call 1 Peer Name" and "Call 1 Peer Phone".

Is this a glitch? Thanks again!!!

It's a great program and is being updated all the time. I have been using it since it's first release and there have been several since then. It just keeps getting better and better

You may well have found a glitch! Were the inbound calls inbound VoIP calls or Inbound PSTN Calls? Cheers, Mark

Actually both inbound Voip and PSTN, but it appears to work on one of my stock SPA 3000's. (I am actually using one on a stock SPA3000 and another on a PhoneGnome (customized SPA3000) - which does not list the incomming properly, even though the information is listed in the details...

Additional Feedback:
- The callerID popup, is partially hidden on my system, since my system tray is 2 rows high...

Thanks again for a nifty tool!
