I just received my first SPA3000 and have done nothing more than the simple physical connectivity. Phone calls over the PSTN seem to have a beep every few minutes (like someone is pressing one of the phone buttons) that I can hear but the other person can not. Is this a known issue or just a bad SPA-3000?

I upgraded the firmware as suggested with no luck. It still makes a beep intermittantly. Today, the caller on the other end said they were hearing it also. Unrelated or not, the "****" code has never worked getting me into the IVR. I'm wondering if I got a bum unit.

I just received my SPA3000 last night. I set it up with BroadVoice (which seems to work wonderfully!). I am also having problems with a recurring beep (every 5 seconds or so) when making a call via the POTS/PSTN through the SPA3000. The people that I'm calling do not hear the beep. I'm using the dialplan created by the Voxilla SPA-3000 wizard. I'm using the latest firmware from Sipura's site. Any insight into this annoying beep would be much appreciated! Many Thanks!

I also wanted to mention that when I was making calls from Sipura 3000 to another Sipura 3000, every few hours the person on the other end stated they heard a beep (DTMF) and they thought someone was on the line (I didn't hear anything). I couldn't pinpoint it yet, but I suspect one of the two things happened: a. I was speaking in a tone, or had background noise that got detected locally as DTMF, got translated and my local Sipura sent a "clear" DTMF on the line. b. some network congestion occured on the line causing overlapping packets on the receiving end, perhaps making the sound appear like DTMF on the receiving end and then it got translated there to "clear" DTMF and got pushed on the line. Just my guess... Cain

I believe I am also having this problem. I am using phones attached to SPA-2000s going to the PSTN through a SPA3000. Sometimes I hear a beep several times in a few seconds, sometimes only every couple of minutes, and sometimes not at all. I don't know if it is the 3000 or 2000 generating the beep. It happens with two different 2000s going through the same 3000. I am using 2.0.13(GWg) on the 3000 and 2.0.13(g) on both 2000s.
