Global IP Solutions (GIPS), the San Francisco-based provider of IP communications voice processing technology, added Citrix Systems’ GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar products to an already impressive customer list Monday.
GoToMeeting, probably the best-known web conferencing solution on the market at this this point, and its larger-capacity sister product GoToWebinar, stand to get much longer looks from many businesses in the contracting global economic climate, as companies look for ways to bring disparate working teams and potential clients together without incurring excessive travel and lodging expenses.
GIPS’ patented technology will be deployed through two products, known as VoiceEngine and Voice ConferenceEngine to handle all aspects of audio mixing and processing in Citrix conference and collaboration environments. GIPS’ software handles audio processing issues typical on IP networks, such as delay, jitter, packet loss, background noise and echo to ensure the best audio quality possible, even under adverse network conditions.
GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar will deploy the GIPS engines to provide integrated VoIP and PSTN audio conferencing.
Other clients using GIPS’ voice processing solutions include Gadu-Gadu, Google, IBM, Mail.ru, LG Electronics, Movial, Nimbuzz, Oracle, Radvision, Samsung, Yahoo!, and Tencent.
